Corn Planting + Tractor Rides = Memories Made!

It was announced to me in a very distinct tone of voice last night, "I am getting up early and planting corn, whether it's muddy or not!"

And he did just that.

PV & I were home today since it's Wednesday.  By the time we got up and around he had already been planting for a couple hours.  I decided we would run to our little town and grab some donuts.  We took Daddy breakfast in the field, not the homemade type, but I think he enjoyed it just the same! :)

We were getting ready to leave and PV then made her own announcement!  She wanted to ride in the tractor!  So I hung out in the field snapping photos while she road with her Daddy for abit.

Life is getting back to "normal" so to speak for this time of year.  The Farmer is busy most all of the day and there is buzzing all around the farm yard!  Before we know it, wheat harvest will be here!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Thanks for posting this. It's heartwarming to see the little girl heading off for a tractor ride with her Dad. I remember being a little girl wanting desperately to ride on the tractor with Daddy and not being able to. Really wonderful that you both took the time to give her that attention. Don't underestimate the impact that has on her. Blessings to you and your family. Growing up on a farm is awesome.
