10 Years & Counting

10 things that being married to this man has changed about my life.
I drink more water.
I live on a farm.
I became a mother once again through adoption.
I have become calmer.
I stop and look at nature more.
I am learning that letting go is ok.
I have become a Lutheran.
I have felt the peace that a quiet man can bring to one's soul.
I eat more vegetables and fruits.
I appreciate the craft of construction more than ever.

10 things I love about this man.
He is a man that will cook, help clean the house, AND farm- all three are sexy!
He has taken the roll of fatherhood very seriously.
He is a man of faith and loyalty.
He encompasses patience and calmness.
His passion for the life of farming.
The way he looks in work boots, jeans, cap, & a tshirt while working in his element!
The really tight squeezes he gives.
The fact that he is my heater in the winter, he's always warm, just like his heart.
He knows what respect means.
He can create something beautiful with his bare hands and brilliant mind!

Today is the anniversary of Milton and I's marriage.  The union of two people, that have very different personalities.  Although  I do believe that both of us, in this ten year time, have woven into something of one another.  He has taken on alittle of me, and I alittle of him, and we have created a union of something pretty special.

"Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh."

In this ten year time, there have been many valleys but we are a solid foundation and will succeed in this life. Milton, Thank you for enduring the days of the dark valleys and sharing the bright peaks that we have had.  I look forward to spending many years as  your wife.

"And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken."

I'm very happy you took my little finger and held it so sweetly that night.  I look forward to you continuing to hold my entire hand, in the years to come.

May God bless your life always my dear!
